An evening for winners at London’s Tower Bridge
XENIX celebrated with the UK index fund and ETF industry the first edition of its ETF AWARDS UK at the Hilton London Tower Bridge. XENIX collaborated with CCData at the inaugural event in London.
Expert Talks and a Celebration of the Best UK ETFs
The awards evening began with expert discussions. Rosanna Grimaldi, LSEG, emphasized that sustainable trackers are a good choice for retail investors, even though the regulatory framework for ESG ETFs will continue to evolve. Paolo Giulianini, Vantage Capital Markets, and Patrick Thomson, Virtu Financial, discussed current trading trends for ETFs in an unusual and volatile bond market in the “Traders Panel.” They both see that many ETF investors have recently been favoring mostly risk-averse or defensive investments in short-duration corporate or government bond ETFs.
The XENIX ETF AWARDS UK 2023 are awarded to outstanding index trackers (traditional index funds and indexed ETFs) which, according to XENIX, currently have the best qualitative rating in their respective peer groups in the UK market. XENIX exclusively considers passively managed index funds and ETFs. The latter must be listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE). A total of around 1,200 primary ETF listings and also over 230 primary share classes of index funds. XENIX thus takes into account the entire spectrum of passive investments offered to private investors by banks and fund platforms in the UK fund market.

The AWARDS 2023 for ETF Newcomers in the United Kingdom
In this category of the UK XENIX ETF AWARDS 2023, awards were given last night to passively managed index ETFs that were first listed in the UK in the past 15 months and are true ETF innovations for retail investors. So this price category is not based on the XENIX rating, but on the novel index concepts of their ETFs. These three innovative newcomers received awards:
